About Our Productions
Every Season, A New Story Comes Alive
Every spring, Passion for the Arts brings a full-scale musical to the stage, complete with sets, costumes, choreography, and the kind of teamwork that only happens backstage. From nervous first auditions to opening-night bows, our students learn what it means to commit to something bigger than themselves, and to watch that commitment pay off in front of a cheering audience. Our stage has been home to beloved stories like The Sound of Music, Robin Hood, and The Prince and the Pauper, each one a chance for a new group of students to discover their voice, their courage, and their community. We’re currently planning our next production, with details on auditions and show dates coming soon.
Program Structure
Our production season runs from auditions in late January/early February through performances in late May. Students rehearse at least once a week, with some roles requiring a second weekly rehearsal. Rehearsals focus on music, choreography, lines, and blocking, with scheduling and content based on the cast’s readiness and progress. The season also includes DramaPalooza, a full-day intensive rehearsal for the cast. Students and families are expected to practice assigned material at home. This shared commitment helps us make the most of rehearsal time and create a production everyone can be proud of.
What’s Included
Club dues cover the cost of enrollment, production merchandise, and essential supplies used throughout the program and production. Keeping our program accessible to families is important to us. In an effort to keep dues as low as possible, Passion for the Arts is built around a community mindset where everyone contributes to making each production a success. Families are asked to support hospitality efforts and may occasionally be asked to provide specific items needed for their child. By sharing these small responsibilities across our community, we’re able to create an enriching, high-quality experience for our students while keeping participation costs affordable.
What We Create
Each season culminates in a fully staged production where students bring together acting, music, dance, costumes, and technical elements to create something they’re proud to share with family, friends, and the community.
Age Groups
Passion for the Arts welcomes students from grade school through high school. Our productions bring together performers of different ages and experience levels, with roles and opportunities tailored to each student’s readiness, abilities, and stage of development. No prior theater experience is require, just a willingness to learn, participate, and be part of the production!
Program Structure
Each Passion for the Arts season is a collaborative journey that takes students from auditions to the stage. Auditions are typically held in late January or early February, kicking off an approximately three-month production calendar that culminates in performances in late May.

Every student rehearses at least once per week throughout the production season. Depending on casting and the needs of a particular role, some students may be asked to attend rehearsals twice per week.
Rehearsals are designed around the readiness and progress of the cast. Throughout the season, students work on all aspects of the production, including music, choreography, lines, character development, and stage blocking.

During the production season, the entire cast comes together for Dramapalooza, an exciting, full-day rehearsal intensive. This dedicated day gives students the opportunity to make significant progress, bring different pieces of the production together, and experience the energy of working as a full company.

Creating a great production is a team effort. Students and families are expected and encouraged to continue practicing outside of scheduled rehearsals, including reviewing lines, music, choreography, and other assigned material.
Coming prepared allows rehearsals to move forward efficiently and gives every student the opportunity to grow in their role. When students, families, and the production team all contribute, we can spend less time reviewing and more time creating something extraordinary together.
