Drama Classes
We have not conducted our typical "fall classes, spring production" schedule recently. During most of the 2020-2021 season we offered small workshops as restrictions permitted. Joyfully, we returned to the stage in the fall of 2021 with our first performance in two years, Peter Pan. It was a delight to be back, and we continued into 2022 with a full production of Dorothy in Wonderland this spring.
Our fall 2022 agenda is currently under review. Contact us to receive email announcements for upcoming show and class scheduling.

During the fall semester we have typically offered an eight-week session of drama classes, independent of but complimentary to our spring performance. These classes are fast-paced, high-energy training in voice, expression, portraying a character, improvisation, musical theater, prop use, stage presence and more! Homeschooled and private-schooled students from all over San Diego County are welcome, from age 4 to high-school seniors. Parents are welcome to drop off their students ages 9 and older, or stay to fellowship with other moms and families. Babies and younger siblings are always welcome.

The 2020-2021 season was unique!
As restrictions shifted this year, we opted to spend the 2021 fall semester in the production of Peter Pan, putting the fall class-schedule on hold to afford the opportunity for our students to return as soon as possible to a full production again.
During 2020 fall semester we hosted small classes of 8-10 students weekly for 3-week mini-sessions. Each session held a specific theater focus of comedic, dramatic/tragic, and Shakespearean skills.
Each student learned a monologue chosen just for them, received personalized feedback regarding planning and performance, and presented to their class audience during final session.
During the 2021 spring, while we were unable to conduct a full production, we were able to complete a successful Mary Poppins mini-camp. In just 3 workshop sessions, students learned selected pieces of dance, dialog and music from this beloved story, focusing on movement, voice, and presentation skills, and then performing as a group to a limited audience.
Upcoming classes will be held in National City and will meet either indoors or utilizing outdoor spaces and socially-distanced to reflect regulations and health requirements at the time.
We will update as we know more!
